The Youth Reception in Southern Halland is looking for a department manager responsible for the receptions in Halmstad, Hyltebruk, and Laholm.

You will lead a team of about 15 employees and play a key role in developing the operations for the benefit of young people.

About us

The Youth Reception in Halland works with physical, mental, and reproductive sexual health for young people up to 23 years old. We offer knowledge and support regarding sexuality, relationships, sexual health, and contraceptive advice, as well as supportive and therapeutic conversations. The operation is HBTQI-certified and permeated by a norm-critical approach, where respect and good treatment towards both young people and colleagues are a given cornerstone.

At the receptions in Halmstad, Laholm, and Hyltebruk, midwives, doctors, social workers, psychologists, nursing assistants, and administrators work together in a team that collectively takes responsibility for the operations in all three locations.

Our holistic view of the youth's situation and context is the foundation for our joint work. We are also at the forefront of digitization and modern working methods, which allows us to meet young people on their terms and create accessible, innovative solutions for support and care.

About the role

As a department manager, you have a key role in leading and developing the operations in line with our goals and assignments. You are responsible for budget, production, personnel, and work environment and collaborate closely with the department manager for the Youth Reception in Northern Halland.

As healthcare changes and digital solutions become an increasingly significant part of operations, you play a central role in driving development forward. With strategic thinking and innovation, you create new working methods where the focus on youth and digital opportunities go hand in hand.

You will work in close dialogue with employees and other actors within the region to create a cohesive and well-functioning care chain. The ability to build relationships and promote collaboration across organizational boundaries is crucial to ensuring high-quality and accessible care. You are part of the management team for Women's Health Care and the Youth Reception in Halland.

Your profile

We are looking for someone with a higher education in health and medical care or other relevant education. Previous experience in management and leadership, or completed management training, is meritorious and seen as an important asset in the role. With a clear and secure leadership style, you create an inclusive work environment where employees feel motivated and engaged. Your strong communication skills and ability to build strong relationships promote collaboration and development, in line with Region Halland's leadership philosophy characterized by openness, participation, and a goal-oriented focus on the development of employees and operations.
