JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a correctional officer, you will be part of a team where you have daily contact with clients. The tasks at the prison are varied and include care, supervision, searches, and security work, combined with release planning, conversations, and motivational work. Work at the remand center is often routine-driven and focused on care and security tasks. Clients may sometimes be detained for long periods without meeting anyone other than the staff at the remand center, which places special demands on your ability to create structure, security, and a respectful approach in daily life.

Working as a correctional officer means that you can make a difference for other people and contribute to a better society. To thrive and succeed in your role, it is important that you share the Swedish Prison and Probation Service's fundamental values of a humane view of people, respect for the individual, and belief in human development. You will be part of a safe and engaged work community where cooperation, responsibility, and respect are central values.

You will begin your employment at the workplace with an introduction in week 23 and are expected to work throughout the summer period of June, July, and August.
