Do you have a genuine interest in psychiatry and want to help develop the General Psychiatric inpatient care with us? We are looking for someone who wants to make a difference for our patients and their relatives. We are seeking new team members. Are you interested in working in a general psychiatric department where the focus is on developing patient-safe care and working in a team with nurses, caregivers, nursing assistants, doctors, peer support, social workers, and unit managers?

The General Psychiatric Department 2 has 18 general psychiatric beds and 2 beds designated for user-controlled admissions, and we work in care teams to provide patients with close and good care.

The inpatient care in general psychiatry is part of the general psychiatry operational area. Our wards are located adjacent to the university hospital in Örebro. In our wards, we have an extra focus on developing the content of care according to the Safewards method. Access to peer support and beds for user-controlled admissions is available in some of our wards. Collaboration with our specialist psychiatric nursing teams (SPOT) is an important part of our work. Together we work with common processes and goals. We work in multiprofessional teams based on a holistic view of the person and adapt our care interventions to the patient's needs and conditions. We strive to promote the involvement of relatives in the care.

Nurse for General Psychiatric Department 2Job Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the nurse include nursing and patient work, medication management, and contact with relatives. As a nurse, you work to provide good and safe psychiatric and somatic care at all stages of life in collaboration with, among others, caregivers and doctors. The nurse leads and is responsible for the nursing work on the ward. You can identify and actively prevent health risks and, if necessary, motivate changes in lifestyle to promote, prevent, or restore health. Qualifications

Specialist nurse with a focus on psychiatry or a licensed nurse without a specialist nursing degree. In the event of employment, specialist training will be part of the individual competence development plan. We are looking for someone who enjoys working closely with patients and has the patient's best interests in mind. You should be confident in yourself and in your role as a nurse. You are interested in working with both care and treatment interventions for patients with severe psychiatric symptoms in the acute phase, as well as working with the team to ensure good and safe care and treatment. Work in the organization is based on great commitment, responsiveness, a positive attitude, and good collegial community, which requires collaboration skills and social competence. You have an ethical and professional approach in all interactions. We place great emphasis on personal qualities.
