We who work in the care and nursing homes in Kumla Municipality belong to Health and Medical Care Unit 2, which includes 7 occupational therapists, 22 nurses, and a unit manager. The nurses and occupational therapists are part of the various local teams in the special accommodations where person-centered care is at the core of our joint work.

We are looking for an independent occupational therapist who will work at Akvarellen's SÄBO, which is our academic accommodation. Here, residents live with cognitive illnesses. Together with the nurse, care staff, and unit manager, we work in a team with the patient as a co-creator. There is great commitment and broad competence within the staff group, who have a strong desire to develop and improve health care for the citizens of Kumla.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Your main tasks will be to assess and investigate patients based on their activity ability. You will also be responsible for treatment, training, and adapting the environment. You will assist in trialing suitable aids to develop or maintain independence.

Your work is characterized by a rehabilitative approach that permeates your work and all involved around the individual. You should be able to guide the patient, care staff, and relatives in training and transfer techniques in a pedagogical manner.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a licensed occupational therapist and have professional experience. You have good collaboration skills and contribute to a positive and developing work environment. Furthermore, you can work structured, independently, and flexibly based on a professional approach with the ability to see opportunities. We place great importance on personal suitability.

You are accustomed to using technology and digital tools in your work. You are also expected to stay updated regarding new research findings and developments in the field, and express yourself well in both speech and writing. A valid driver's license (B) is a requirement.

It is an advantage if you have worked with a rehabilitative approach and have experience with documentation in Procapita, Senior Alert, and Lifecare SP.
