We are looking for a dedicated and development-oriented occupational therapist for the Hand Surgery section.

The orthopedic and hand surgery area provides university healthcare and clinical research at the region's three hospitals: Örebro University Hospital, Karlskoga Hospital, and Lindesberg Hospital. The area provides care across the entire orthopedic field, including highly specialized care. A comprehensive restructuring is underway to improve accessibility, quality, and cost-effectiveness. The establishment of a clinical research unit is an important part of this development work.

Occupational Therapist, Orthopedic and Hand Surgery Area Job Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities will be training as well as testing and adapting orthoses for patients after hand surgical procedures. The work is primarily conducted as outpatient care at the hand surgery clinic, but it also includes rounds and treatment in the inpatient department.

As an occupational therapist at the hand surgery clinic, you will work in a clinic with close collaboration between several professional categories. We who work here are occupational therapists, physiotherapists, nurses, nursing assistants, medical care administrators, and doctors.

The hand surgery department provides both regional and county healthcare, primarily highly specialized hand surgery. The work consists largely of elective surgery but also trauma surgery.
