The forensic psychiatry in Örebro consists of four departments with a total of 34 inpatient care places and an outpatient unit. In this recruitment, we are looking for nurses for inpatient care in departments six, seven, and eight. The patients here have been transferred to care instead of prison and are treated according to the Forensic Psychiatric Care Act (LRV). The patients generally have a complex problem, which makes the work varied and stimulating. When you start working with us, you will receive adequate introduction and during your employment, you will be offered ongoing opportunities for professional development. We are now looking for committed nurses who, with drive and interest, want to work with patients sentenced to forensic psychiatric care. Here you will be welcomed to a pleasant workplace with challenging tasks, and several different projects are conducted in the organization aimed at improving care and patient participation.
Within the forensic psychiatric activity, we investigate, treat, and rehabilitate individuals sentenced to forensic psychiatric care. The organization consists of several care departments and an outpatient team. Together, we are around 90 employees working with common processes and goals. We work in multidisciplinary teams based on a holistic view of the individual and adapt our care interventions to the patient's needs and conditions. We strive to promote the participation of relatives in the care.

Nurse, departments 7 and 8, Forensic Psychiatry Job Responsibilities
The care is person-centered with the patient in focus, and as a nurse, you are the one in the team responsible for the psychiatric care in the patient's treatment. You work together with caregivers, doctors, psychologists, occupational therapists, and social workers. You will be the so-called patient-responsible nurse, where you have a central role in the team in planning, implementing, and evaluating the patients' care. The tasks are varied, and you work both individually and in group activities around the patients. You are also expected to contribute to the development of the organization and take responsibility for improving the parts of the care you are responsible for.
Additional InformationAs we in Psychiatry care about our patients and value patient safety highly, we will, in connection with the recruitment, request extracts from the suspicion and criminal records from the National Police Board. QualificationsNurse, basic education. A specialist education in psychiatric care is an advantage. A driver's license is a plus but not necessary.
