Your Future Workplace
At the Women's Clinic, over 200 employees work. The clinic consists of maternal health care, obstetrics, and gynecology. The obstetric side works with delivery and postpartum care, specialist maternal care, and maternal health care. In delivery/postpartum, mothers and children are cared for in connection with childbirth, as well as pregnant women with pregnancy complications from week 22. We have about 1400 deliveries per year. Delivery and postpartum are located together, and we work jointly to provide the best care. Specialist maternal care conducts most ultrasound examinations during pregnancy and meets pregnant women with complicating medical conditions.
The gynecological side focuses on gynecological diseases, both benign and malignant, as well as treatments for early pregnancy complications up to week 21. We have a gynecological outpatient clinic with general gynecology where acute gynecological patients are also handled during the day. We strive to work in teams with specialized outpatient clinics such as pelvic floor clinic, dysplasia clinic, cancer clinic, abortion clinic, and endometriosis clinic. In our outpatient surgery, simpler procedures are performed, such as excisions, hysteroscopies, cystoscopies, and minor surgeries. The gynecology ward also includes our chemotherapy outpatient clinic and emergency care in the evenings, nights, and weekends. The surgical operations mainly involve benign surgery, including robotic surgery. The maternal health care service consists of pregnancy monitoring, parent groups, contraceptive counseling, gynecological cytology screening, and youth clinic services.
