Now there is an opportunity to become the unit manager for the psychology unit at one of Sweden's largest forensic psychiatric hospitals - Regionsjukhuset Karsudden. Over the past three years, the psychology unit has developed and grown significantly, with five out of six psychologists and two PTP psychologists joining the unit. The newly assembled team is now looking for a driven manager who wants to help shape the workgroup and provide them with the conditions they need to do a good job. The hospital is a leading forensic psychiatric hospital at the forefront of constant development. With solid development work, the psychology unit has grown, and the hospital's psychologists play a central and important role in the care teams. As the psychology unit manager at the hospital, you will have overall responsibility for psychological treatment, methods, and development, directly reporting to the area manager.

Your Responsibilities

As the unit manager of the psychology unit, you will lead the work on psychological treatment and method development and have personnel responsibility for psychologists and PTP psychologists. Your manager is the area manager for the hospital, and there are several support functions available to assist you in quality and safety issues, finance, and HR. You will lead and develop your employees at both group and individual levels, with the goal of enabling the best possible care for patients. In addition to personnel responsibility, the role also includes responsibility for the work environment and finances according to delegation.

Our psychologists work with structured assessment, investigation, and treatment aimed at providing a psychological perspective on the patient's abilities and skills. The psychologists at the hospital should, based on their psychological competence, be able to offer guidance and support to other professions in the organization and contribute to the goals and quality work of the organization. The work is permeated by the principles of person-centered care aimed at preventing recidivism of serious crimes. As a unit manager, you create conditions for a staff-driven team where thoughts, ideas, and collaborations are unleashed. You have great opportunities for development in your role and will contribute an important perspective in leading our psychological treatment and development.

Your Qualifications

You are a licensed psychologist and have experience in forensic work as well as work in addiction treatment, psychiatry, or habilitation. We prefer that you have experience in a managerial role, a good ability to see connections and the whole picture, and a well-developed ability to collaborate both internally and externally.
