About Us

Nyköping Hospital is an acute care hospital serving approximately 90,000 residents in the area. The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is part of the anesthesia clinic, which has about 160 employees and also includes the recovery unit, operating room, and sterile technical unit. The ICU is a well-functioning department with a positive staff group that enjoys working together and thrives in their jobs. We Are Looking For

We are looking for a licensed nurse with at least 2 years of experience who is interested in intensive care and has the ambition to pursue further training as a specialist nurse in intensive care.

We are a general intensive care unit that cares for patients from all clinics at the hospital, i.e., surgery/urology, medicine, orthopedics, psychiatry, gynecology, obstetrics, and pediatrics. We have a high-tech newly renovated intensive care unit with 8 fully equipped intensive care beds. In 2026, the recovery unit will receive new facilities.

In our operations, we place great emphasis on having a holistic view of the patient and their relatives. We strive for continuous professional development and to have fun!

Your Responsibilities

During your project employment, you will work variably based on your license as a nurse and learn new tasks specifically related to working in an intensive care and recovery unit. There is a well-thought-out onboarding plan where you individually go through different levels. The position includes rotating to the recovery unit and working with pre- and post-operative care of patients who have undergone various types of surgery.

Your Qualifications

You are a licensed nurse with the ambition to pursue further training as a specialist nurse in intensive care. We are looking for a service-oriented and loyal colleague who dares to take initiative. You possess maturity both personally and professionally, and you have at least 2 years of experience in nursing. Great emphasis is placed on personal qualities.

Employment Type

Permanent employment with a temporary placement in the ICU for 6–12 months, with start date according to agreement. Employment rate according to agreement.
