About us

Clinical physiology and nuclear medicine is a regional clinic with operations at the three somatic hospitals located in Eskilstuna, Nyköping, and Katrineholm. Within the region, we have a broad clinical physiological practice, with diagnostics in heart and vascular, lungs, esophagus, and kidneys. We also conduct diagnostics in neurophysiology in collaboration with the Academic Hospital in Uppsala. In nuclear medicine, which operates at Mälarsjukhuset in Eskilstuna, diagnostics of the heart, kidneys, skeleton, lungs, and brain are performed.

We are a team with a positive spirit that values good collaboration between professions. We are looking for someone who wants a varied job at a clinic that has all the advantages of a medium-sized hospital, both in breadth and specialization. The operations are based on good cooperation between our units.

With our broad operations, we offer great opportunities to shape the work according to personal interests. We primarily examine adults but also have some children; a large part of the operations is acute.

Your tasks

Performing and interpreting standard clinical physiological examinations where heart and vascular diagnostics constitute a significant part. Participate in internal training and medical rounds. You will have a specialist in clinical physiology as a supervisor during your service, and daily work will be supported by specialist colleagues. We offer great opportunities to participate in external training during the service period to ensure that the goals for the ST training are met in line with the wishes of the specialist association. ST training in clinical physiology is conducted according to the National Board of Health and Welfare's goal description. You will design the training plan together with your supervisor. Part of the training will take place at the radiology clinic in Sörmland, the medicine clinic in Sörmland, and the physiological clinic at the university hospital. We have collaborated with university clinics in Linköping, Stockholm, and Uppsala.

Your qualifications

You must hold a Swedish medical license and have good knowledge of the Swedish language (equivalent to Swedish C1). We are looking for someone with an interest in diagnostics and a desire to develop within the methods available in clinical physiology and nuclear medicine. We place great emphasis on personal qualities.

Employment form

Permanent employment, full-time or as agreed, with start date as agreed. The main placement is at Mälarsjukhuset in Eskilstuna.
