At our pathology laboratory at Mälarsjukhuset in Eskilstuna, we are about 30 people with the ambition to deliver the best possible diagnostics to patients and healthcare providers.
We are now looking for a biomedical analyst for a full-time temporary position until June 30, 2027, as one of our colleagues has the opportunity to further their education in histopathology.
WHAT
The work in the laboratory mainly consists of classical histopathology: embedding, cutting, sectioning, staining, as well as immunological staining and for part of the group, specialist cutting.
We continuously strive to improve our work processes, where you will also be involved in improvement efforts that affect our working methods and the future of Pathology.
Working as a Biomedical Analyst with us is a varied job where you work both in teams and perform independent work. It is important to us that we work as a team to provide the patient with the best possible basis for continued care.
Working hours are scheduled during the day, Monday to Friday.

For this role, we are looking for someone who:
- Is a licensed Biomedical Analyst
- Masters Swedish in speech and writing
- Is flexible and responsible
It is also considered highly meritorious if you have experience working in a histopathological laboratory.

WHERE
You will be welcomed as part of the team at the pathology department in Eskilstuna, where about 30 employees currently work, including doctors, biomedical analysts, medical secretaries, laboratory technicians, and laboratory assistants. The work in the laboratory mainly consists of classical histopathology: embedding, cutting, sectioning, staining, as well as immunological staining and for part of the group, specialist cutting. Our responsibilities also include cytology and autopsy activities.
The Swedish pathology/cytology operations have a total of about 250 employees and have been gathered in their own organization since 2014. The operations consist of a total of four laboratories in Skövde, Eskilstuna, and Stockholm.
