Are you a nurse and want to work at a cutting-edge stroke and medicine department?
We are a stroke department that is documented as one of the best in Sweden. The care we offer has been mentioned by Riksstroke for two consecutive years. Riksstroke is a national quality register that we are active in. We are very proud of these mentions, and in 2023, we reached our goal and were named Stroke Unit of the Year 2023.
We work in care teams consisting of one nurse and two nursing assistants. The patients on the department have various medical conditions; primarily, we care for stroke, medicine, and orthopedic/rehabilitation patients. As a nurse with us, you will gain a broad foundation for your future professional career.
The stroke department consists of a wonderful group of employees who now need to expand the nursing team.
You should be curious, flexible, and able to adapt to a varied work pace and environment.
To ensure you get the best possible start with us, we offer individually tailored onboarding. If you are a recent graduate, you are offered participation in our hospital-wide introduction program for new nurses, which takes place within the framework of your working hours. We also have care leaders and stroke nurses who serve as support and mentors during the first six months. We hold category meetings every week, which provide opportunities for reflection and development in your professional role. We have internal competence development every other week and the opportunity for internal training in stroke competence if desired. We support and help each other!
We work in teams consisting of nurses, nursing assistants, discharge coordinators, and medical secretaries. Doctors and paramedical competence are available on the department during certain times as support in the work.
Together, we work purposefully to create a safe and secure journey through care for our patients.
You are a licensed nurse. Experience in inpatient care is meritorious but not a requirement. We are looking for a flexible person who appreciates a varied workday with the opportunity to learn a lot in the job. You should find it easy to collaborate with different professions and be open to changes. We place great emphasis on being responsive and making efforts where the need is greatest.
Permanent employment with a start date as agreed. Working hours day/evening/weekend. A planning schedule is used on the department with the possibility to influence your shifts to some extent.
