About Us

The Addiction Center is an outpatient clinic for patients with addiction and substance abuse problems, with or without concurrent mental illness. Our catchment area includes Eskilstuna and Strängnäs municipalities and is part of the psychiatric clinic at Mälarsjukhuset in Eskilstuna (MSE).

The clinic consists of 13 individuals with various professions. In addition to you as a psychologist, psychiatrists, nurses, mental health workers, social workers, and medical secretaries work at the clinic.

Your Responsibilities

We are looking for someone who wants to develop the Addiction Center based on your profession as a psychologist.

You need to have the competence, experience, and willingness to work with psychological treatment (individually and in groups), as well as with assessments in the form of neuropsychiatric and personality assessments. You will also contribute your expertise and knowledge during treatment conferences where patient care is discussed and planned.

Your Competence

We are looking for a licensed psychologist with at least three years of experience.

You have a genuine interest in the target group and can remain calm in emotionally stressful situations. You share the assumption that all behaviors are functional, that people do the best they can, and that everyone must strive harder at the same time. You have the ability to take initiative, possess good social skills, and have a strong pedagogical ability. You also have an interest in close teamwork and find it easy to collaborate, both internally and with external partners.
