ABOUT THE POSITION

Vi Omsorg is looking for someone who wants to work as a personal assistant for one of our clients in Falun. The position is a temporary part-time role where you will work during the absence of regular staff. If the collaboration works well between you and the client, there are good opportunities to later transition to a part-time permanent position with a fixed schedule. The work primarily takes place during the day, but some evening shifts may occur. You will be working both in a home environment and in a children's group. Start date is according to agreement, and we hope you can begin the introduction as soon as possible. ABOUT THE CLIENT

Our client is a 2-year-old girl with Spinal Muscular Atrophy. She uses a shower chair, electric wheelchair, cough machine, and is fed through a tube. When she sleeps, she also uses a breathing mask. As her assistant, you will among other things:

• Work with the cough machine and BIPAP
• Assist with transfers, dressing and undressing, and tube feeding

But it’s not just about practical help – here you also get to step into a world of play and imagination. She loves to play with dolls, sing, read books, and create stories. Her favorite game right now is playing store, where you set up and sell food, and you will definitely become an expert at drinking pretend coffee!

On walks, she enjoys taking her power wheelchair or sledding, and you will have the chance to explore the world together – perhaps by looking at the moon or greeting dogs and friendly people. The playground is another favorite place, where swings and other adventures await.

ARE YOU THE ONE WE ARE LOOKING FOR?

We are looking for someone who can match the client's energy. You enjoy playing but are also attentive to her needs – especially when she needs to rest. To thrive in the role of assistant, you need to be flexible, observant, and comfortable handling both the practical and emotional aspects of the job. You are creative and can find solutions to the challenges that may arise during the day.

Furthermore, you can handle both medical equipment and toys with the same care. You are considerate and kind, but also strong. You act quickly and efficiently, but also have great patience. You are sensitive to silent communication and body language, but you can also listen to a lot of talking, singing, and laughter throughout the day. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability in the recruitment process.

Employment rate: Temporary position with the possibility of a fixed schedule.  Salary: We apply individual salary setting. Other compensations in accordance with collective agreements.
