Software Developer at the Migration Agency

At the Migration Agency, we work with one of the major societal issues of our time – migration. We are around 6,000 people here, and we have an unusually important job!

The DevEx (Developer Experience) team is responsible for making life as a software developer at the Migration Agency as frictionless as possible. We deliver parts of what can be called "IT for IT". Our team develops and maintains platforms for continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD), visualization tools, methods for better test automation, and the local development environment that our developers use.

We work with agile methods and with a strong focus on automation.

Who are you?

You have a background where you have worked as a software developer for an extended period and have developed an interest in technology and development platforms. You want to help make the daily life of other developers easier and have an interest in automation.

As a person, you value collaboration with others over isolated work and can easily see the challenges others face in their work. You take responsibility for your tasks and can easily structure your own work. You have a high level of professional knowledge in the field and maintain your expertise through continuous monitoring of the environment and a curious approach. You can easily lift your gaze to see the big picture and meet others' needs, solving complex problems in an exploratory way.

Since we work in teams, no one person needs to be an expert in all our areas of responsibility. You contribute your expertise and are adaptable and interested in learning from others in their expertise. No single person can know everything, but together we can achieve everything we need.

Requirements

  • Higher education in computer science, software engineering, systems science, or computer engineering with a bachelor's or master's degree, or equivalent previous degree, or other relevant educational background and professional experience
  • At least 3 years of professional experience as a software developer/programmer
  • Good communication skills and can express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish and English
  • Swedish citizenship

Merits

  • Professional experience with DevOps and agile methods
  • Professional experience in developing microservices in a microservices architecture
  • Experience with container platforms (Kubernetes/Docker)
  • Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD)
  • Experience with JavaScript and development tools for frontend development
  • Experience with Linux
  • Experience in developing platform products and development tools

Employment type: Permanent

Working hours: Office hours

We apply individual salary setting.

Location: Norrköping or Linköping. Remote work is possible according to a hybrid principle.

Start date: By agreement

As the position will be placed in a security class, Swedish citizenship is also required. A security review with a background check will be conducted prior to employment.
