Your Responsibilities
As a care assistant at Edshultsgården, you provide personal care and social support based on the residents' needs. Your work is characterized by responsibility, collaboration, and a striving to provide the best possible care. As a care assistant with us, you advocate for our residents' self-determination, integrity, and participation, so that they can feel well-being. We work together to give the elderly a meaningful and stimulating everyday life.
You can expect varied tasks; assisting with meals, dressing and undressing, transfers, personal hygiene, escorting, walks, and creating security as well as breaking isolation. Service tasks include laundry, bed-making, shopping, and cleaning. Documenting the care and support you provide is an important part of the daily work.
The role also includes performing certain health and medical tasks as delegated.
Your Profile
- We are looking for someone who is a trained care assistant.
- Previous experience in special housing is an advantage, as well as knowledge and/or experience working with people with dementia.
- You are accustomed to working with digital tools such as mobile phones, computers, or tablets and have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, to document the care you provide and communicate with our residents.
- As some tasks require good physical fitness, it is important that this requirement is also met.
- A valid driver's license (B) is required.
We expect you to have personal maturity and be both self-driven and service-oriented. You take responsibility, are flexible, and can handle stressful situations. You are proactive and attentive to residents' needs and show respect for other people. You find it easy to collaborate with residents, relatives, colleagues, and other staff.
About the Workplace
Edshultsgården's special housing welcomes you with its historic exterior and the laughter of many children eating their lunch in the same premises. Warmth and a sense of home characterize both Edshultgården's values and departments. Edshultsgården is divided into 3 floors and 9 departments, all with round-the-clock staffing and person-centered care. Each department has 8-9 residents, but the long corridors give the feeling of a regular apartment building. In addition, we have the privilege of having 3 quality leaders, a meal coordinator, and an activity coordinator who focus on quality in our care.
Edshultsgården has a dementia focus in 8 of its departments and a somatic focus in one department.
