Do you want to work in an organization where you make a real difference while using your entire professional competence? The nursing unit in Avesta municipality is now seeking three patient responsible nurses for our special housing. Here, you will have a significant role in an organization characterized by close collaboration, a good atmosphere, and a focus on high quality in care and support.

As a patient responsible nurse, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on health and medical care interventions for patients within our care and support housing. The work is varied and independent, and you will meet patients in many different situations with varying care needs. We provide advanced health and medical care, and you will work with both medical assessments, treatments, and follow-ups with the support of technical equipment when needed. In your professional role, you collaborate closely with doctors and other professionals, and you will be an important part of creating safe and cohesive care processes.

In special housing, we work in teams where you have a central role in leading and distributing the nursing work. You guide and support staff in their daily work and ensure that care is provided safely, securely, and in accordance with applicable guidelines. Documentation, follow-up, and delegations are natural parts of the work. During on-call hours, that is, evenings and weekends, you, together with colleagues, are responsible for health and medical care interventions throughout the municipality, which gives you broad and developing competence.

Your competence is an important part of creating a safe, secure, and cohesive care chain.

The work includes day, evening, and weekend shifts.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is a licensed nurse
  • Has good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing
  • Has basic computer skills
  • Has a B driver's license

It is an advantage if you have district nurse training, further education in elderly care, or previous experience in municipal health and medical care.

You are a secure and stable person with good self-awareness and the ability to adapt when circumstances change. You collaborate well with others, communicate attentively, and demonstrate an empathetic and respectful approach. In pressured situations, you can make wise decisions and maintain your judgment while working in a structured manner, planning effectively, and keeping to deadlines.
