The Ambulance Service Dalarna is a county clinic with 11 ambulance stations from Särna in the north to Avesta in the south. Our operations are characterized by high competence and quality where the patient's best interest is the focus. Our mission is to provide good ambulance care that is patient-safe and knowledge-based for everyone living and staying in our county.

At our station in Leksand, 34 staff members work. Here we have a good work climate and care for each other. We work with individual schedule planning, and the job involves shifts both day, night, and weekend.

Nurse, Ambulance Leksand Job Responsibilities

As a nurse in the Ambulance Service, you work with pre-hospital emergency care where you meet patients of all ages who have suffered from acute illness or injury. You assess and treat patients at home, at the scene of the accident, and during transport to medical facilities. The focus is on good care and compassion in patient encounters. You work both independently and in a team where collaboration and knowledge exchange aim for the best possible care of the sick and injured. You work according to the current treatment guidelines for Ambulance Service Dalarna.

Requirements:

- Licensed nurse

- Specialist nurse examination with a focus on ambulance care.

- You must be approved according to the guidelines of the Ambulance Service Dalarna regarding employment tests and introductory training.

- Driver's license with permission to drive a passenger car with a total weight over 3.5 tons.

- Swimming ability of 200 m, certification required

If you do not have the qualifications when you apply to us, you must start obtaining driver's license C1 within an agreed time period. The employer covers health examinations and driving school costs.

Meritorious:

- Previous experience in ambulance care

- Prio1 qualification

- PS/PHTLS/AMLS training

Personal qualities:

We place great importance on your personal qualities such as teamwork ability, positive attitude, and engagement. You need to be confident in your professional role, have a genuine interest in people, and always keep the patient in focus. You can work independently and handle stressful situations but also enjoy working in a team and contributing your knowledge to a good work climate.

This position requires you to have a valid license for the relevant profession. Your professional license will be checked against the National Board of Health and Welfare's register of licensed health and medical care personnel (HOSP) before any job offer.
