Job Responsibilities

As a nurse in municipal health and medical care, you will collaborate with nursing assistants, care staff, rehabilitation, and unit managers. You will also cooperate with primary care, inpatient care, and other actors from a holistic view of the patient. You will have overall patient responsibility for the care of your patients. This includes being able to make your own assessments, take samples, change dressings, manage medications, administer injections, provide diabetes care, and other recurring tasks. The work also includes preventing diseases and complications such as falls, malnutrition, and mental health issues. Furthermore, the work may involve being responsible for end-of-life care.

Qualifications

The following is required for the role:

• You are a licensed nurse
• Driver's license (B)
• Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both spoken and written

Desirable Qualifications

• Specialist education with a focus on district nursing, elderly care, palliative care, psychiatry, or other relevant education
• Previous experience in municipal health and medical care
• Experience working with the target group for this position
• Good familiarity with IT-based journal systems
• It is also an advantage if you have worked as a nurse for at least one year

The position is a temporary position where you will be booked in as needed in the operations during evenings, weekends, and nights.
