Music Teacher Wanted at Skogsängsskolan

Skogsängsskolan is newly built with beautiful facilities and a fantastic schoolyard. We have grown in recent years and are now a K-6 school with approximately 463 students. At Skogsängsskolan, we work together with a focus on collegial learning. We take a proactive approach to create good conditions for students' learning and safety. The school operates with the fundamental belief of placing the student at the center from a holistic perspective. We consciously work with differentiated and language-developing methods for higher goal achievement. We have both a counselor and a school nurse full-time, as well as a student health team that works preventively. To succeed in this work, we place great importance on norms, values, safety, and study peace. Part of this work includes having an organized and well-functioning recess program.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

In this position, you will teach music full-time to students from grades K to 6. You will work to capture and develop students' musical interests and adapt your teaching to their different levels. Of course, you will plan and implement your teaching according to the curriculum, Lgr22. Additionally, you will be part of a work team at the school to collaborate with colleagues.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a teaching degree and teaching certification with the authority to teach music. Previous experience teaching according to LGR22 is a plus. You will be teaching in full classes, so we prefer candidates who have experience teaching large groups.

You are attentive, collaborate well with both colleagues and students, and have the ability to see the whole educational situation of the student. You communicate easily with both adults and children. You are skilled at building trust, listening, and understanding different needs. We believe you are a driven employee who wants to contribute to the continued development of the school.
