Job Responsibilities

In home care, we perform qualified care work for citizens who have been granted help under the Social Services Act (SOL) within our area. Our operations consist of engaged and motivated staff groups with long experience working for security, participation, and self-determination. We provide services every day of the year and evenings to people who need support with care work.

As a nursing assistant with us, you provide care and social support based on a salutogenic approach. The tasks include helping people with, for example: dressing, meal preparation, serving, hygiene, and cleaning. Tasks delegated by licensed health and medical personnel are also included in the work. Collaboration is a very important part of your workday, and you work together with your closest colleagues and health and medical personnel for the individual. Your tasks also include keeping in touch with relatives and documentation.

By working with us, you contribute to creating an environment for the individual characterized by community, companionship, participation, and activity.

Qualifications

Completed nursing assistant education is a requirement. Previous experience in elderly care and/or healthcare is advantageous. Since communication and documentation are important tools in the work, you need to have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. A driver's license for a passenger car (B-license) is required.

Bergs Municipality is a Sámi administrative municipality, and we therefore see it as an advantage if you have knowledge of the South Sámi language and culture.
