If this sounds like your next challenge, then we have the job for you!

We offer you

As an employee at the Export Credit Agency, you contribute to our mission to promote Swedish exports and the internationalization of Swedish companies.

This is a workplace with socially important and developing tasks in a global environment. At EKN, you will have the opportunity to develop, be challenged, and contribute with your expertise.

Our work climate is characterized by engagement and customer focus. Here you will be welcomed by 160 experienced colleagues, who are driven to enable more secure export transactions and make difficult markets accessible for Swedish companies.

Our offices are centrally located. Please read more about our employment conditions.

Your future tasks

As a project manager at EKN, you will have an exciting and varied role at the hub between export transactions, risk management, compliance, and contributions to social development in various countries. EKN is a demand-driven organization whose mission reflects the developments in the world, especially in the sustainability area.

In your work as a project manager, you will help ensure that EKN has effective and appropriate processes related to developments in the world and EKN's export-promoting mission. You will drive EKN's work forward together with employees from other functions within the sustainability area, but you will also participate in further development efforts in areas related to sustainability, export business, and social development.

The work as a project manager is done in close collaboration with other parts of EKN's organization, EKN's customers (exporters and banks), and other actors within Team Sweden. Team Sweden is a collaboration between authorities, agencies, and companies primarily focused on export and investment promotion, all working to promote Swedish exports and make it easier for Swedish companies wanting to establish themselves in the export market. In this role, you will also have contact with EKN's counterparts in other countries.

Main tasks:

  • To lead projects and development efforts in sustainability and export business, focusing on risk management and compliance.
  • To contribute to development work in human rights, climate, anti-corruption, and other sustainability-related activities.
  • To drive the development of internal processes and working methods.
  • To collaborate with exporting companies, banks, Team Sweden, and EKN's counterparts in other countries.

The work as a project manager is done in close collaboration with colleagues from several departments where dialogue and knowledge sharing are a natural part of everyday life.

You report to the head of Land & Sustainability. Travel in the service may occur.

Your future team

In the Risk Management department, 28 specialists currently work with responsibilities in country, credit, sustainability, and portfolio analysis as well as EKN's international cooperation. The department contributes to EKN's operations, among other things, through method and analysis responsibility for risk assessment, risk measurement, reinsurance operations, sustainability investigations, advisory services, and awareness-raising activities.

Your background

We are looking for someone who has:

  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree in relevant fields such as law, human rights, natural sciences, or engineering, or equivalent experience that EKN assesses as equivalent.
  • At least five years of experience in project management and/or process development.
  • Experience in relevant areas such as human rights, climate, and/or anti-corruption issues.
  • Experience in change management.
  • Good understanding of business processes.
  • Very good knowledge of English and Swedish in both spoken and written form.

Additionally, it is an advantage if you have:

  • Experience from the private and/or financial sector.
  • Experience in international business in complex markets.
  • Experience working in cross-functional roles.
  • Experience in customer review, export control, or sanctions management.

Your qualities

To succeed in the role, you need to have a genuine interest in international business and a strong commitment and desire to develop the operations.

You thrive in a varied environment where conditions can change rapidly, which requires an ability to see the big picture in new and complex issues and adapt your working methods accordingly. As a person, you need to have a good ability to take initiative, independently drive projects, and collaborate effectively both internally and externally. You should also be able to convey information to different recipients clearly and concisely in both speech and writing, as well as work methodically in terms of your ability to plan, organize, and prioritize your tasks.
