Summer Temporary Positions for Nurses in the Emergency Department

The Hospitals in the West is an administration within the Västra Götaland Region and consists of four hospitals – Alingsås Hospital, Angered Local Hospital, Högsbo Local Hospital, and Kungälv Hospital. Approximately 3000 employees work with us every day to provide good and safe specialist healthcare of the highest quality.

We are looking for you who want to make a difference for others! The emergency department currently has about 45 employees.

We receive emergency cases in surgery, orthopedics, and internal medicine during the emergency department's opening hours between 08:00 and 21:00 every day of the week. In surgery and orthopedics, we also accept children. The emergency department has approximately 22,000 emergency visits annually. We are now looking for nurses who want to be part of our team this summer. You should be stimulated by changes in pace at work and be good at prioritizing your tasks. You want to contribute to optimizing the acute care of our patients, and your perspective is characterized by care for people.

Responsibilities

As a nurse with us in the emergency department, you will be part of interdisciplinary teams together with doctors and nursing assistants in the acute care of patients with medical, surgical/orthopedic, and general medical conditions. You will develop by working in different positions in the department, for example as a patient responsible or in the alarm team. The work is varied, challenging, and stimulating.

Qualifications

You are a licensed nurse, preferably with at least one year of experience as a nurse. Experience in emergency care is a significant advantage, preferably from an emergency department. We are looking for someone who is stimulated by changes in pace at work and who is driven to work in a developing environment. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability where the ability to collaborate in a team and prioritize are important qualities, as well as being flexible.

The positions are for summer temporary employment and day, evening, and weekend shifts.
