Job Description
Patient-centered laboratory medicine (PNL) is one of the specialties within the laboratory medicine operations in Region Östergötland. We conduct a well-developed operation characterized by responsibility, trust, and participation. We are located at most of Östergötland's health centers, as well as at the sampling units at the university hospital and Vrinnevi hospital. Currently, about 100 employees work within PNL, most of whom are biomedical analysts or medical biologists; we also have medical technical assistants, nursing assistants, and laboratory instructors in our team.
PNL plays a central role in the healthcare chain and we are the important first link in the laboratory operations. We take samples for the entire healthcare system and perform analyses in hematology, coagulation, and chemistry. Work in the laboratory is carried out in close collaboration with other professionals at the health center, but the organizational affiliation is Patient-centered laboratory medicine, which is also responsible for your professional development and the laboratory's quality assurance and instrumentation.
We continuously work to develop the operations within PNL, among other things through close collaboration with our customers. We work with continuous improvements, both at the local laboratory and regionally at the clinic level.
Our working hours are favorable as we only work daytime, weekdays from Monday to Friday, excluding holidays or public holidays.
We can now offer a temporary position within Region Östergötland's health centers in Linköping.
Work Group
Our work groups are small and we place great importance on personal suitability. You will work both independently and in a team with colleagues in the laboratory. Collaboration and dialogue with the health center and other referrers are part of the assignment.
About You
You are a licensed biomedical analyst or have a university degree in medical biology or equivalent.
You have excellent knowledge of the Swedish language both spoken and written.
As a person, you are service-oriented, flexible, and enjoy meeting and helping people. You work in a structured manner, are quality-conscious and meticulous, and have the ability to prioritize your work effectively. We expect you to be able to perform independent work as well as work in a group and have good collaboration skills.
We work closely together and need to have good communication to successfully solve the tasks we encounter in our daily work. Thus, the position is suitable for you who thrive in collaboration and are attentive and communicative with both colleagues, patients, relatives, and customers.
Application and Employment
We work with ongoing selection, so please submit your application as soon as possible. Prior to employment in a patient-centered role within Region Östergötland, you will need to fill out an application (https://ledsys.lio.se/Document/Document?DocumentNumber=54500).
Warm welcome to submit your application! If you need help registering in the system, contact customer service Support and Service, 010-103 60 00, during office hours.
To staffing, placement, and recruitment companies and to you as a salesperson: We kindly but firmly request no direct contact with staffing, placement, and recruitment companies as well as other external actors and sellers of additional job advertisements. Region Östergötland has contracted agreements.
