The Swedish National Board of Institutional Care (SiS) is an authority responsible for individually tailored compulsory care for young people with complex psychosocial issues and for adults with substance abuse. SiS Youth Home Nereby operates in Harestad and Bergsjön. We conduct differentiated and high-quality educational, care, and treatment work. The operations include a variety of professions, such as teachers, treatment pedagogues, psychologists, nurses, and more. SiS Youth Home Nereby receives both school-age and non-school-age boys and girls with psychosocial issues, as well as criminal behavior and substance abuse.
Job Description
The role of the System Administrator is to support the institution's staff and managers with first-line IT support. You will receive and register cases, engage in dialogue with users and, if necessary, the IT support at the head office, as well as troubleshoot and resolve IT-related issues. The System Administrator is also responsible for account management, permissions, cameras, installation and troubleshooting of computers, key cabinets, telephony, and printers, as well as installing and configuring specific software.
You contribute to ensuring that IT support functions effectively and supports the operations in the best possible way, as well as handling analysis, troubleshooting, and problem-solving. As a System Administrator, you follow established routines and processes and work towards improvements and development, while keeping informed about developments in the profession through networks and training, and ensuring that the unit's goals are met.
Your work includes being responsible for fire safety issues and being involved in security matters, including training, developing routines, follow-ups, and regular checks.

For the role, good collaboration skills with colleagues and other contact points within and outside the organization are required. You also have the ability to analyze and break down complex problems into functional solutions for the institution's users and can independently plan and organize your work. The employer considers it important that you can drive your processes in accordance with the authority's policies and guidelines for IT environments and telephony. As a person, you are structured, proactive, and driven. You have the ability to manage multiple parallel issues simultaneously and can work methodically even under high workloads.
You should have:
- High school diploma
- Preferably post-secondary education in IT and system science
- Broad technical competence acquired through education and/or experience in the field
- Good Swedish language skills in both spoken and written form
- Driver's license B
It is advantageous if you have:
- Knowledge and experience in fire safety and fire responsibility.
- Knowledge and experience in security work, such as locks, alarms, and cameras.
- Relevant post-secondary education that the employer deems suitable for the role
- Knowledge and experience working with the following systems: Traka, Unison, Milestone, VISMA, SITHS
- Knowledge and experience in property issues to assist with various tasks alongside our caretaker as needed.

Employment:
The position is a permanent full-time position and begins with a six-month probationary period. Start date according to agreement.
