About the job

The Financial Supervisory Authority (FI) oversees the financial market. We ensure that banks, insurance companies, and other financial firms comply with regulations and that consumers are not exploited.

As a press secretary, you will work both strategically and operationally. You will handle media inquiries, prepare interviews, and assist the agency's spokespersons. You will identify and initiate communication opportunities, write press releases, develop talking points, and organize press conferences. If necessary, you will also act as a spokesperson yourself.

You will also participate in planning the agency's communication and follow when FI's management participates in external contexts. You will also be responsible for ongoing media monitoring and environmental analysis.

The position is located in the external communication unit, which is one of two units in the communications department. You will collaborate closely with colleagues across the department and in all operational areas and staff units.

Your education and experience

We are looking for someone who:

• has relevant education or equivalent work experience
• has several years of experience in operational and strategic press work
• expresses themselves well in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing.

It is an advantage if you:

• have worked with press issues in the public sector or in a politically governed organization
• have experience from the financial sector.
