Junior Lawyer for the Prospect Unit at the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority
Are you at the beginning of your career with an interest in law related to the financial market and want to develop in a socially important organization? We are now looking for a junior lawyer for the Prospect Unit in the Market Supervision Department.
About the Job
As a junior lawyer at the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority (FI), you will be part of the Market Supervision Department and work within the Prospect Unit. The unit is responsible for reviewing and approving prospectuses and offering documents, supervising the prospectus regulations and public takeover bids, and participating in regulatory work in the area.
In this role, you will work independently, support your colleagues, and contribute to the development of case law in complex issues. You will have ongoing contact with actors in the securities market, such as financial and legal advisors. You will answer questions about prospectuses and acquisitions of publicly listed companies and provide guidance on applicable regulations.
The work may also involve participation in international assignments, including collaboration with other European supervisory authorities. You will also be involved in the unit's administrative tasks and contribute to developing effective working methods.
The position involves close collaboration with colleagues within both the department and the authority as a whole, and you will have the opportunity to deepen your knowledge of the financial market.
Your Education and Experience
We are looking for someone who:
- has a law degree or another relevant legal qualification
- has a very good ability to express themselves in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing.
It is advantageous if you:
- have experience from work/internship at a law firm, financial advisor, authority, company under FI's supervision, or similar
- have an interest in the securities market, prospectus issues, public takeover bids, capital market transactions, and stock exchange regulations.
