Temporary Treatment Assistant for the Adult Unit

The Adult Unit is now looking for a temporary treatment assistant as one of our employees will be trying out another assignment within the unit in 2026.

The temporary position involves a varied and meaningful job where you will become part of an engaged team working closely with individuals with harmful use and addiction.

As a treatment assistant, you will be part of a housing team consisting of four treatment assistants and a team leader. Together, you will provide support to individuals with ongoing harmful use and addiction living in our internal social housing with support, which includes 15 places.

Your mission is to create structure, security, and motivation for change in the daily work with the residents. The work is done closely with the individual and is based on a supportive approach where participation, responsibility, and respect for the individual's situation are central. You provide practical and psychosocial support in everyday life and work to strengthen the individual's ability to lead a more independent and stable life.

The position also includes eviction prevention and LVM prevention work as well as outreach efforts. The work is varied and can involve everything from motivational work and conversation support to collaboration with social services, healthcare, and other relevant actors. Documentation and follow-up are a natural part of the assignment.

The assignment is broad, dynamic, and varied, with great opportunities to make a concrete difference in people's lives. You will work both independently and in close collaboration with colleagues in the team, where cooperation, flexibility, and shared responsibility are important success factors.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is studying or has a post-secondary education in social work or another education that the employer deems equivalent. Experience working with individuals with harmful use and addiction is an advantage.

To take on the assignment, you need to be able to quickly read and adapt to changing circumstances and situations. You are expected to meet changes with a positive attitude and contribute to driving long-term and sustainable change work. As a person, you are secure in yourself, unpretentious, and have a positive view of people. You have a commitment to the target group and good collaboration skills. It is important that you can plan, prioritize, and drive your own cases independently while seeking help when needed. Personal suitability is of great importance.
