Social Worker for the Adult Unit

The Adult Unit's open care is currently undergoing a transformation.

The operation has previously primarily focused on open care interventions for relatives and for individuals with harmful use and dependency. The assignment is now being broadened to also include work with victims of violence and individuals who perpetrate violence. To meet the expanded assignment and continue to provide high-quality support, the operation is being strengthened with additional social worker expertise.

The position of social worker is a combined role where part of the assignment is directed towards working with perpetrators of violence, while the remaining part encompasses regular social worker tasks within the operation.

In working with perpetrators of violence, you will offer structured conversations focusing on accountability, behavior change, and preventing further violence. Concurrently, you will work with regular social worker tasks such as advice and support, mapping, as well as supportive and motivational conversations. The tasks also include treatment conversations, support for relatives, relapse prevention, and advice and support conversations for victims of violence.

The interventions are conducted without the requirement for assistance decisions and are offered as interventions without needs assessment (IUB), which places high demands on professionalism, accessibility, and a legally secure approach. The work is characterized by a holistic perspective where safety, participation, and change work are at the center. Collaboration with other professionals and operations is an important part of the assignment.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work or other education that the employer assesses as equivalent. Experience in treatment work is an advantage, as is experience working with perpetrators of violence and victims of violence. It is also advantageous if you have experience with assessment and follow-up methods such as ADDIS and ORS/SRS, as well as working in the data system Treserva. To succeed in the assignment, you need to have a good ability to express yourself well in both speech and writing.

To take on the assignment, you need to be able to quickly read and adapt to changing circumstances and situations. You are expected to meet changes with a positive attitude and contribute to driving long-term and sustainable change work. As a person, you are secure in yourself, unpretentious, and have a positive view of humanity. You have a commitment to the target group and good collaboration skills. It is important that you can plan, prioritize, and independently manage your own cases while seeking help when needed. Personal suitability is of great importance.

As a social worker, you will be part of a team with four other social workers and a team leader, working with conversation support, advice, and treatment interventions for individuals in vulnerable life situations. The unit also includes a housing team that works outreach and with LVM and eviction prevention interventions, as well as an authority group. Together, we form a cohesive operation where close collaboration and continuous knowledge exchange are central parts of the work.
