Civil Preparedness
Civil preparedness is one of the municipality's prioritized issues. We are now appointing a preparedness coordinator focused on municipal health and medical care. The role is placed in the civil preparedness unit within the municipal management office's staff function. There, you will be part of a team of four people who work with preparedness and safety under the leadership of the municipality's new preparedness and safety manager.
Job Description

In this role, you will work both at a municipal-wide level and with initiatives to enhance robustness within municipal health and medical care. The role involves contributing to municipal-wide structures and directions for the work and driving development within the social services department based on existing guidelines. You will adapt centrally developed materials and directives to the needs of the social services department and also contribute the perspective of line operations to the municipal-wide work. Thus, you will become an important function at the interface between the central level and the work in line operations.

At the same time, you are responsive, flexible, and needs-driven, with the ability to independently translate direction into practical action and make things happen. You are communicative, solution-oriented, and build trusting relationships and clear forms of collaboration. It is natural for you to collaborate closely with others internally and externally, based on the needs of the issues you drive. In short – you are a driving force that makes a difference!
Main Responsibilities:
- Participate in the municipal-wide work with civil preparedness.
- Drive, coordinate, and develop initiatives to maintain essential operations within municipal health and medical care.
- Implement capability-enhancing initiatives within municipal health and medical care.
- Participate in the work with total defense planning.
- Plan and conduct exercises and training.
- Collaborate with internal and external actors and participate in networks and collaborative forums.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has:
- Relevant higher education.
- Knowledge of civil preparedness.
- Good communicative and pedagogical skills in speech and writing.
- Good computer skills and experience with Microsoft 365.
Meritorious are:
- Experience working in a politically governed organization.
- Experience leading development work.
- Experience leading workshops, training, and exercises.
- Experience in municipal health and medical care.
The position is classified in a security class, which means that a successful background check and security clearance are prerequisites for employment. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
Start date: By agreement
Scope: Full-time
Employment form: Fixed-term employment for eight months, with the possibility of extension. The position will be filled subject to the approval of the application for state funding.
