Job Responsibilities

As a speech therapist at Habilitering, you will work with assessment and treatment of communication as well as eating and swallowing difficulties in children, adolescents, and adults. Your mission is to strengthen the individual's conditions in everyday life through a patient-centered and independent working method.

The work is varied and developmental and takes place in close collaboration with other professions in interdisciplinary teams. An important part of the role is also to provide guidance and training to families, networks, and staff, as well as collaborate with preschools, schools, and LSS operations, sometimes even directly in the patient's everyday environment.

With us, collaboration is a strength, and interventions are provided both individually and in groups, with a common focus on the best possible support and treatment for each patient.

About the Workplace

The Habilitation Center is a specialist service within the region that provides support, advice, and treatment to individuals with disabilities in the areas of intellectual disabilities, autism, movement disabilities, visual impairments, and acquired brain injuries. Here at Habilitering in Köping, you will work with patients across all areas and thus gain broad knowledge and experience. Our unit consists of about 25 employees distributed across different professions. We have two unit managers who share leadership, making them often available to us in our daily work. We work in functional and pleasant premises that are well adapted to our operations.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed speech therapist or newly graduated awaiting licensure. Education in AAC/AACtive and experience working with individuals with disabilities is a merit. You have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, as well as a B driver's license.

To thrive in the role, you are flexible, self-assured, and have good collaboration skills. You enjoy varied workdays, work independently with good structure, and see the value of interdisciplinary collaboration.
