Do you want to make a difference for patients with special needs? We are looking for a qualified, experienced dental hygienist for a position at Folktandvården's Mobile Clinic in Uppsala.

Our Operations

Folktandvården's Mobile Clinic aims to increase access to dental care for individuals who may otherwise have difficulty reaching a traditional dental clinic. This may include patients in special accommodations, ordinary housing, or group homes.

The Mobile Clinic is part of Region Uppsala's efforts to promote health, prevent disease, and reduce disparities in oral health among different groups in society. By providing dental care on-site where patients are located, we contribute to a more equitable oral health throughout the region.

We share premises with Specialist Dental Care Orofacial Medicine Seminar in an attractive area approximately 2 km from Uppsala Travel Center, making commuting convenient.

Together, we form a group of 34 employees. We have joint therapy and clinic meetings, collaboration, and other operational activities. This provides you with great opportunities for knowledge exchange with experienced colleagues.

At Orofacial Medicine, we treat patients with special needs, medical conditions, intellectual disabilities, etc. We also conduct oral medical investigations and treatments, dentoalveolar surgery, and infection investigations from healthcare. The clinic also engages in research on oral cancer with several areas of development.

Your Mission

We are looking for a dental hygienist who seeks a varied job with good development opportunities. You have an interest in and commitment to medical and geriatric dental care. You have good experience in general dentistry, and experience in medical and/or mobile dental care is an advantage.

As a person, you are engaged, meticulous, and patient-focused. We will place great emphasis on personal suitability.

You will provide dental care to the elderly and individuals with disabilities, either in a residence or in their own homes. Your tasks will also include conducting outreach activities and educating staff at nursing homes about oral health and dental care.

For internal applicants, the possibility of combining this position with work at the current clinic can be discussed.
