Something is always happening here – a new life is born, a grandmother is operated on, a colleague is celebrated as a hero. With us, you will experience both tough challenges and fantastic events, in a strong community with colleagues. Our Operations

At our gynecology department 96C1, approximately 1600 patients from the entire healthcare region of Central Sweden receive care each year. We are very proud to have been certified as a European center for advanced ovarian cancer surgery and operate on about 80-100 women with ovarian cancer each year. We also provide national highly specialized care for certain endometriosis cases, focusing on advanced surgery. Through our emergency department, patients of all ages with various gynecological conditions come for investigation, surgery, and treatment. We have a close collaboration with other units within the women's health department and also care for certain obstetric patients.

The combination of planned and acute operations means that no day is the same, and we constantly learn and develop together. Work in women's health requires high medical competence as well as our ability to be attentive to the individuals we encounter, who, like us, come from diverse backgrounds and experiences. Supporting women at all stages of life, being there when circumstances are at their most challenging, and providing the very best care to our patients is something we are passionate about in our field.

Your Mission

As a part-time nurse at gynecology department 96C1, you will care for patients being investigated and operated on for gynecological cancer and other gynecological diseases. With us, you will work in a care team with nursing assistants, doctors, and other roles. You will collaborate closely with the team around the patient. Here, we care for each other and support one another with all tasks. As a part-time employee, we hope you can work 1-2 weekends a month, which we plan according to your availability, in addition to shifts based on the needs of the department. You may be in further training to become a specialist nurse/midwife or pursuing other studies where you have room for work outside of this.

Your Qualifications

You are a licensed nurse or midwife, preferably with experience in surgical care and emergency care. You have a general interest in women's health and surgical care. It is a merit if you have previous experience with the Cosmic journal system.

Your Skills

You have strong communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as in interdisciplinary teams. You are solution-oriented and interested in learning new things while sharing your own knowledge.
