Our Operations

AVA is one of Akademiska sjukhuset's largest wards with 30 beds, and here you will be part of a close-knit team consisting of nurses, nursing assistants, doctors, pharmacists, and other important health professionals, all committed to delivering care of the highest quality. We also have special functions such as discharge nurses and educational nurses, which provide you as an employee with optimal conditions to perform your tasks with high quality. Our success is based on our collective experience and the diversity of ideas and solutions, and we prioritize the working environment of our employees.

At AVA, we primarily care for patients with internal medicine diagnoses. Patients with chest pain, arrhythmias, heart failure, infections, diabetes, pulmonary embolisms, and venous thrombosis come to us. Many of our patients are multi-sick and require extensive care efforts. The length of stay is relatively short, which means a high turnover of patients that must be planned and coordinated. The high flow places high demands on flexibility, initiative, decisiveness, and good teamwork.

Additionally, you have the opportunity for four study days per year, giving you time and space to deepen your knowledge and competencies.

Your Mission

As a nurse with us at AVA, you will work with specific nursing and treatment of the acutely ill patient. We work in teams consisting of a nurse and a nursing assistant in close collaboration with doctors, and together we take responsibility for the acute care of the patient.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse, preferably with a few years of experience in emergency care or equivalent. Previous experience in telemetry monitoring is also meritorious. We would like you to be a specialist nurse in emergency care or intensive care.

We Offer

At AVA, we have 5 vacant nursing positions to offer, and appointments will be made continuously during the recruitment process. We offer permanent employment at 100%, either night shift or rotational shift. We look forward to your application!
