Then the Trainee Program in Neuroscience is for you!

The trainee program lasts for 1.5 years and starts with a total of 12 weeks of introduction in our four departments: Stroke Department 85B, Neurosurgery Care Department 85E, Neurology Department 85D, and Neuro Intermediate Care Department 85H (NIMA). During the introduction period, you will spend three weeks in each department, after which you will choose, together with the organization, the department where you wish to continue your employment.

During the program, weeks are allocated for job shadowing (in the departments, clinics, and operating rooms of the area) and skills development through the basic course in neurosurgery. The course provides in-depth knowledge of the specific nursing care and acute management in neurosurgery. Other employees from the area and the region participate in the basic course in neurosurgery.

As a newly graduated nurse, you will also be part of Akademiska's Clinical Development Year (KUÅ). This includes various lectures combined with clinical skills training aimed at providing a good and secure start in your new job.
