Our Operations
The Department of Orthopedics and Hand Surgery has an exciting offer for you who are interested in working with orthopedics.
Ward 70 AB
We conduct highly specialized complex planned and acute spinal and prosthetic surgery, trauma orthopedics, and hand surgery where we work in multidisciplinary teams. Here, the lengths of stay vary and can range from one day up to several weeks.
70 A primarily has an acute inflow of patients who are cared for pre- and post-operatively for various types of fractures, often injuries that have occurred after trauma. Patients may, for example, have cut their hand, broken a leg, or been involved in a traffic accident with high-energy violence. Other patients may have suffered a hip fracture after a fall or developed an infection that requires amputation. Thus, our patient clientele is varied in terms of age and underlying diseases. We have doctors with specialist competence in complicated pelvic fractures and difficult hand surgical procedures, which means we receive patients from large parts of the country.
Ward 70B receives a large part of our planned care. We assist patients with osteoarthritis who need prosthetic replacement in hip, knee, or shoulder joints. The acute inflow mainly consists of patients with traumatic fractures of the spine and neck, large herniated discs requiring emergency surgery, or patients with infections that, in addition to antibiotic treatment, require surgical intervention. We have doctors who are highly specialized in prosthetic and spinal surgery, which means we also conduct national and regional healthcare here.
With us, doctors, nurses, nursing assistants, secretaries, pharmacists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and social workers work together. We collaborate in teams with the patient in focus. We conduct active development and care work in several areas such as pain, nutrition, pressure ulcers, and activity.
Our goal is for patients to feel safe, well cared for, and to receive the support they need to be involved in their care and recover more quickly.
Your Mission
As a nursing assistant in 70AB, you, together with the nurse on the care team, are responsible for approximately 6-7 patients. The work includes tasks such as basic patient care, NEWS and blood sugar monitoring, control and follow-up of fluid balance and calorie registration, as well as dressing changes and mobilization. With us, you can expect a varied job with challenging tasks.
Your Qualifications
We are looking for you who are a trained nursing assistant, alternatively studying to become a nurse and have completed semester 3, or a doctor who has completed semester 5. Previous work experience from a hospital ward is an advantage.
Your Competence
We are looking for someone who always puts the patient in focus and is responsible and motivated in your work. It is important to us that you enjoy working with people and that you are an engaged and positive colleague who contributes to a good work environment. If you are curious, proactive, flexible, and cooperative, then this job is perfect for you!
We Offer
We offer a full-time temporary position from May 29, 2026, to September 3, 2026.
