Description

The Mother Tongue Unit is a city-wide operation within Child and Student Support. Here, mother tongue teachers and study counselors work together to support students' linguistic and knowledge development. We teach nearly 2,000 students each week in about 30 different languages.

We are now looking for a mother tongue teacher in Tigrinya at the Mother Tongue Unit in Trollhättan Municipality.

Responsibilities

• Teach students in Tigrinya as a mother tongue according to applicable curricula.
• Adapt teaching to the individual needs and circumstances of the students.
• Teach on a mobile basis at different schools in Trollhättan.

Qualifications

• It is an advantage if you have a teaching degree, Swedish or from abroad (validated by the Swedish Council for Higher Education).
• Have experience teaching in primary and/or secondary school.
• Have good pedagogical skills and can adapt your teaching to different students' needs.
• Are flexible, cooperative, and enjoy a varied work environment in different school settings.

• Employment type: Special fixed-term employment from 2026-01-07 to 2026-06-18.
