Assistant Restaurant Manager About the role

As an assistant restaurant manager at Bastard, you are an important part of the operations and take great responsibility in delivering a world-class product. You can be an expert in the kitchen or provide fantastic service, but in this role, you are expected to be interested in both areas.

As an assistant restaurant manager, you are also responsible for evaluating and developing various areas of your restaurant. You ensure that you are an operational expert where you have full control over what happens in the daily operations. Together with the restaurant manager, you constantly evaluate to improve and develop the culture and the KPIs we consider important. When the restaurant manager is not present, the assistant is the highest responsible. The job entails a high operational responsibility with administrative elements.

Overall responsibilities:

• Together with the restaurant manager, be responsible for the operations

• Support the restaurant manager in leading the team, where you are passionate about the team rather than the individual

• Work on improvements in service, quality, inventory, COGS, waste, and scheduling

• Continuously work to ensure that all food safety procedures are followed

• Education requirement: none

• Have previous experience in the restaurant or service industry, preferably with personnel responsibility

• Must be able to speak Swedish and/or English, it is advantageous to master both languages

• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends

• Be motivated by and can motivate employees to work towards set goals

• Have a passion for Bastard Burgers and preferably know about us from before!

Bastard Burgers is a young and fast-growing company that cares about people. We were founded in Luleå, Sweden, in 2016, and today there are more than 70 Bastard Burgers restaurants across Sweden and additional restaurants in Finland and Norway.
