Description

The Mother Tongue Unit is a city-wide operation within Child and Student Support. Here, mother tongue teachers and study counselors work together to support students' linguistic and knowledge development. We teach nearly 2,000 students each week in about 30 different languages. We are now looking for a study counselor in Mongolian.

Responsibilities

The work consists of providing students with study guidance in their mother tongue at schools in Trollhättan City. The position is mobile. A driver's license is an advantage but not a requirement.

Qualifications

It is important that you master the relevant language and can use subject-specific terms within various school subjects. You should have good knowledge of the Swedish language and familiarity with the Swedish school system. You should be able to switch between languages when guiding the student and support the student's language and knowledge development. You should be able to collaborate with teachers in schools and apply various pedagogical methods for the student to meet the knowledge requirements in subjects where a support need has been identified. You should have good computer skills in Office, and it is an advantage if you have experience with the Studybee platform.
