IT Technician at Konstfack
Konstfack is Sweden's largest artistic university college in art, design, and crafts. Since 1844, we have educated a variety of professional groups in these fields as well as visual arts and craft teachers. We are now looking for an IT technician who will be responsible for all of Konstfack's client environments with a particular focus on the Mac platform. The position belongs to our IT department, which consists of 6 people with broad expertise in the IT field.
As a smaller university, Konstfack offers a work environment with short decision-making paths and close collaboration between different parts of the organization. With us, you will become an important part of the school's continued development.
The IT unit has an overarching responsibility for Konstfack's IT support and IT security. This includes procurement, operation, development, and support of computer workplaces, computer labs, license management, networks, and server rooms. The IT operation should enable innovation and development throughout the university, including through digitalization, smart use of AI, enhanced security work, and qualitative IT tools for education and research.
Konstfack's IT environment consists of both Mac and PC clients as well as Microsoft-based servers and cloud services. The IT unit continuously works to develop, streamline, and automate the management of the IT environment.
Main Responsibilities
The role includes, among other things, that you:
- Procure, install, configure, and maintain computer lab computers and employees' computers.
- Provide second and third line support to students and employees via our ticket management system TOPdesk.
- Configure and administer Mac computers using JAMF.
- Configure and administer PC computers using Intune.
- Troubleshoot Mac, PC, iPhone, printers, and other peripherals.
- Administer and procure licenses.
- Create and manage user accounts, permissions, and mail groups in Active Directory.
- Document routines and instructions.

Employment
The employment is a permanent full-time position that begins with a 6-month probationary period. Start date immediately or by agreement.
Qualifications
Requirements for Employment
- Completed upper secondary education
- At least 3 years of documented experience in similar tasks.
- Experience in IT support
- Good knowledge of Mac and PC/Windows in the role of IT/support technician
- Good experience in administering Mac computers with JAMF.
- Experience with Active Directory, Intune, Office365.
- Familiarity with reading, writing, and working with documentation.
- Good knowledge of Swedish and English in speech and writing, as this is required in daily work.

- Experience with ticket management systems.
