AI Generalist at PTS

The position will initially be placed in the unit for coordination and international affairs within the market development division. You will initially work in the project that handles PTS preparations for the tasks that the authority is proposed to receive due to the EU's AI regulation and then, when the authority has decided on the organizational home for the issues, be involved in building and belonging to the line organization that will work with the AI regulation.

About the Role

In the role of AI generalist, you will work broadly at the intersection of technology, law, and policy. You will play a central role in PTS preparations for the tasks that PTS is proposed to receive due to the EU's AI regulation. You will work on analyzing and interpreting the regulation, developing guidelines, and contributing to designing and driving a future regulatory sandbox. The role involves making complex technical issues understandable for different target groups and collaborating with researchers, other authorities, companies, and EU institutions. In the long term, you will be involved in carrying out the tasks that PTS is proposed to receive within market surveillance and other areas of responsibility related to the regulation.

About You

We are looking for someone who has:

• A Master's degree in engineering or another technical higher education, or other education that PTS assesses as equivalent.
• Several years of experience in work that includes aspects relevant to AI, e.g., machine learning, data management, statistics, models, and algorithms.
• Relevant experience in project management.
• Current experience in facilitating collaborations or organizing workshops.
• Good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing.
• Good knowledge of English in speech and writing.

It is also meritorious if you have:

• Experience in working with impact assessments or risk assessments.
• Current experience in working with information security.
• Relevant experience in regulation and supervision.
• Relevant experience in AI system development or application.
• Relevant experience in business development.

The position is a permanent employment with an initial probationary period of six months. Placement in Stockholm with a start as soon as possible by agreement. Your job title will be technical expert.
