The Role

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

Work as a consultant at our clients' sites or in-house at Combitech's office in Alvik, often in teams with others.
Contribute to the development of advanced products that combine hardware and software and solve complex technical problems from a cross-functional perspective.
Work with integrated software systems consisting of multiple subsystems and hardware components, such as command systems for ships or vehicles.
Participate in various project phases, from breaking down customer requirements to functional and component requirements, to developing solutions and conducting tests.
Design requirements and specifications in close collaboration with other engineers and ensure that the solutions meet the customer's needs.
Participate in functional and performance testing of parts or the entire system to ensure quality and functionality.
Collaborate with product owners, project managers, and customer representatives throughout the product development process to create value and deliver high-quality solutions.

We are looking for someone who

Has a relevant educational background: for example, a master's or bachelor's degree in electronics or software engineering.
Has worked with technologies, tools, and languages: for example, CAN buses, Linux and Windows platforms, and SQL databases.
Has experience in systems engineering or technical project management, preferably with a background as a developer, hardware designer, or in integration and verification.
Is analytical and solution-oriented, with the ability to quickly understand complex technical systems and new technology areas.
Has good leadership and collaboration skills, enjoys sharing knowledge and developing together with colleagues.
Is communicative and confident in technical discussions, can discuss details and lead developers, preferably with an understanding of programming languages such as Java, C++, or ADA.

As the position involves work covered by defense secrecy, you are required to undergo and be approved in a security clearance with background check.
