Our units consist of assistance officers, senior assistance officers, housing coordinators, and administrators. The target group is individuals over 18 years old who apply for support and assistance not covered by LSS or belong to the target group for processing within social psychiatry. Our target group is constantly increasing, which requires our operations to dare to try new working methods to best meet the challenges of welfare. With us, we try new working methods and continuously evaluate. You are expected to act according to our values in all contacts and work from a proactive approach.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Do you want to work with investigating and making decisions about the need for support and interventions according to the Social Services Act? How exciting! Then we have the job for you! As an Assistance Officer, you ensure a legally secure investigation process of good quality where the goal is for each customer to receive the right intervention at the right time.

Your role as an assistance officer involves investigating and making decisions about interventions according to the Social Services Act. The target group is municipal residents who need support based on current legislation. The interventions you investigate concern the individual's right to care and nursing homes, home care, safety alarms, respite care, and day activities. Assistance officers make decisions on behalf of the care committee.

The work is based on a holistic perspective regarding the individual and their needs, which is done in collaboration with, for example, relatives, health care, and other authorities. You will also work with counseling, planning, coordination, and follow-up of decisions in close collaboration with your colleagues, senior assistance officers, unit managers, and other internal and external actors. The work involves basic documentation and administration, among other things in the system Treserva.

You will be part of a smaller team with other assistance officers. Each team has a shared responsibility for our customers, which is a successful working method that provides good quality for our citizens and a good working environment for you as an employee.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has a degree in social work or a degree from a social care program. A driver's license and driving experience are required for the position. You should have good knowledge of the Swedish language in speech, writing, and reading comprehension.

Experience in case management and if you have work experience in elderly care, it is an advantage. Also, if you have experience with the operational system in Treserva.

As an assistance officer, this involves meetings with different people, and therefore there are demands for social skills, to create and maintain good relationships, both internally and externally. You are attentive and collaborate well with people in various contexts and functions. In meetings with our customers and their relatives, approach and interest are important to build trust.

As a person, you are structured and have the ability to see what needs to be prioritized, are efficient, and use resources to achieve results in the best way. You have the ability to document and write clearly, concisely, and well-structured, and can adapt your texts to the recipient. You are analytical, see logic and connections in complex information, and have the ability to see long-term solutions.
