The Regional Development Administration works for regional development in our region. Our mission is to work for sustainable growth and good quality of life throughout Region Örebro County. The area of responsibility is broad and ranges from public health, education, and culture to business development, traffic, and urban planning.

We in the Energy and Climate area - the Energy Office - are a dedicated group with various focus areas where we aim to work for a sustainable energy system with efficient energy use, increased share of renewable energy, and reduced climate impact throughout the county. In this role as a development leader, you will become an expert in the field of energy planning. You will support the municipalities in the county in their work with energy planning. You will work on the project "Integrating municipal energy planning with comprehensive planning." The project is run together with the County Administrative Board and aims to provide extended support to municipalities with their municipal energy planning. Furthermore, the project aims to see how energy plans can best be synchronized with comprehensive plans and create conditions for effective coordination of energy planning across municipal borders. You will initiate and carry out various activities within the project and report results to the funders. You may also work on other projects within the area.

We are looking for someone with an academic degree as a community planner and a strong interest in and knowledge of energy planning or someone who is an energy engineer with a strong interest in community planning. You enjoy challenges and working in a developing work environment.

To succeed in this role, you are strategic while also being able to work operationally with energy planning. Furthermore, you are communicative and enjoy helping municipalities and people. You have an easy time taking your own initiatives, taking responsibility for, and planning and executing work independently. You have the ability to absorb and convey new knowledge to our partners. As a person, you are outgoing and passionate about energy and community planning, and with your engagement, you can create your own tasks and achieve results. You have good knowledge of both Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
