Economist or Lawyer Wanted at the Swedish Tax Agency

The Swedish Tax Agency is working on investigating employers who make deductions for research and development in their employer declarations and is now looking for someone who wants to work focused on investigating these.

About the Job

The deduction for research and development aims to contribute to increased innovation and development in Sweden. To be eligible for the deduction, the company must develop new or significantly improved products and contribute to new knowledge or research.

We are looking for someone who is analytical, curious, and has the ability to handle large amounts of data and information where quality and accuracy are important. A large part of the material you will review is in English. You should be skilled at expressing yourself clearly in both speech and writing and feel comfortable formulating and writing decisions. It is an advantage if you are interested in new technology and development issues.

We work in teams, which means you will work closely with your colleagues, and you will support each other to accomplish the team's tasks. You plan your own workday and drive your cases both independently and in collaboration with others.

The work is qualified, and you will learn and gain new knowledge both broadly and deeply. The job involves a lot of customer contact, and an important part of the assignment is to provide the customer with good conditions to do the right thing in the future. You have flexible working hours, and it is a given for us that you should have a balance between work and leisure.

You belong to the Personal Tax Department and work in the Personal Tax Unit 2, located in Örebro.

You should also have:

• a university degree of at least 180 higher education credits (120 credits) in economics or law.

It is desirable that you have current and relevant work experience in administrative tasks within public operations or agencies. It is also desirable that you have experience in investigative work and decision-making.

Good to Know

The employment is permanent and may start with a six-month probationary period.

Employment with us may involve placement in a security class. A security review with a background check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted before a hiring decision. For some of our tasks in the security class, Swedish citizenship is required.
