About the job
You will work with qualified processing of excise duties in areas such as energy, alcohol, and tobacco taxes. This involves reviewing, investigating, and deciding on the taxation/refund of our excise duties. Some tasks may include assessing the economic status of companies. You are also the face of the Tax Agency by answering questions about excise duties primarily from businesses, via phone and email. Travel may occur in the position.
You plan your own workday and drive your cases both independently and in collaboration with others. We work in teams, and you work closely with your colleagues, providing and receiving support from each other. The area of excise duties is complex and challenging, with regular changes in legislation, making it suitable for those who want a varied role and are stimulated by gathering information. You have flexible working hours, and it is essential for us that you maintain a balance between work and leisure.
You belong to a section within the corporate taxation department, located in Örebro. Currently, we have 200 colleagues in the unit. Excise duty processors are present in four sections located in Ludvika, Örebro, Gothenburg, Sundbyberg, and Malmö.
About you

In this job, you should:

You should also have:
- a university degree of at least 180 higher education credits (120 credits in the old system) in economics or law
It is desirable that you have several years of relevant work experience in processing tasks within a government agency, bureau, insurance company, or bank. It is also preferable that you have studied 15 credits in tax law.
Good to know
The employment is permanent and may start with a six-month probationary period.
Employment with us may involve placement in a security class. A security review with a background check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted before a decision on employment. For some of our tasks in security class, Swedish citizenship is required.
