Södermalm School belongs to the central school area and is a K-9 school with approximately 850 students and many competent staff members. The facilities and schoolyard are divided into K-3, 4-6, and 7-9, where each stage has its naturally defined area for play and creativity.

The municipality of Kristinehamn has about 24,000 inhabitants and is located by the shores of Lake Vänern in Värmland. The city offers a beautiful and accessible archipelago environment, an idyllic city center, and opportunities for an active and varied leisure life for both children and adults.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a school resource in the after school program, you will primarily work to support a specific student during their leisure activities. This means supporting and helping the student manage various situations during the afternoon at the after school program, both in their personal development and academic growth. You will also participate in the pedagogical work alongside the staff in the after school program, in accordance with the assignment.

The working hours are scheduled between 12:30 PM and 4:30 PM.

QUALIFICATIONS

We welcome applicants who have completed their high school diploma. We prefer that you have studied the child and leisure program or the leisure leader education, but we also welcome those who are in the final stages of their education.

It is an advantage if you have knowledge of how various disabilities affect students' learning and if you have experience working in a school.

In the role of school resource, you take responsibility, adapt to changing circumstances, and have a good understanding of students' different learning conditions. Collaboration is important, and you work well with colleagues, students, and guardians, where you listen, communicate, and resolve conflicts constructively. Being relationship-building is an important part of creating a positive, creative, and safe learning environment for our students.
