Job Responsibilities

We are looking for someone who wants to make a difference! The position is a temporary role as a student assistant within the adapted high school's individual program. In this role, you will meet students with intellectual disabilities, sometimes in combination with other disabilities.

As a student assistant, you will be part of a team consisting of teachers and student assistants where collaboration and responsiveness to students' needs are important. You contribute to creating a safe, structured, and stimulating environment where the student's individual needs for support in knowledge development and care in various situations throughout the day are met.

You are a reliable and flexible adult who has a good ability to create trusting relationships with students, both during lessons and breaks. You are self-driven, responsible, patient, and have a positive and respectful demeanor.

Qualifications

We are looking for a student assistant who has a student assistant education, a high school education from the child and leisure program with a pedagogical focus, or post-secondary education/work experience that the employer deems equivalent.

You have experience and knowledge in low-arousal approaches, clarifying pedagogy, and AAC.

It is an advantage if you have previously worked in an adapted school. We place great emphasis on personal suitability for the job.

The position will be filled subject to the necessary decisions being made.
