Minneberg School is looking for two dedicated teachers in German for our newly built school in the center of Arvika – a middle school tailored to each student's needs.

Here, there are safe spaces for recovery, community, activities, and relationship-building.

The positions encompass 20–55%, with one of these also including mother tongue instruction in German. You will be part of a safe and development-oriented school environment focused on collaboration, student-centered teaching, and good results.

Qualifications

To succeed in the role of a German teacher, we see that you have:

  • Qualified teacher with authorization in German.
  • Ability to create an inclusive, clear, and motivating learning environment.
  • Good ability to plan, implement, and follow up teaching in accordance with governing documents.
  • For one of the positions, competence to teach German as a mother tongue is also required.

It is also meritorious if you, as a German teacher, have:

  • Experience teaching grades 6–8 is an advantage.

To thrive in the role of a German teacher, we see that you are a secure and engaged educator with a strong ability to meet students at different developmental levels. You easily adapt your working methods and communication to the needs of the student group and enjoy switching between teaching different ages within grades 6–8.

You are flexible and solution-oriented, and you can quickly adjust when conditions change in the organization. You work in a structured manner while also having a creative side that helps you find varied teaching methods that inspire students.

As a person, you are collaborative and actively contribute to a positive and professional work climate. You have a good ability to build relationships, create security, and motivate students to develop their language skills.

Responsibilities

In your duties as a German teacher, you will:

  • Teach students in grades 6–8 in German at Minneberg School as well as in other school environments.
  • Plan, prepare, and implement teaching in accordance with the curriculum and the municipality's guidelines.
  • Assess, document, and follow up on students' knowledge development.
  • Actively participate in team and subject collaboration.
  • For one of the positions, mother tongue instruction in German is included, as well as supporting students' language and cultural development.
