We are now looking for a leisure teacher for Solstadens school

Solstaden is a F–9 school with approximately 150 students, located at Kasernhöjden in Karlstad.

Our bright, modern, and spacious facilities create good conditions for both teaching and leisure activities.

As a leisure teacher, you will be part of a team together with primary school teachers and leisure educators. The team meets regularly to plan, develop, and follow up on the activities. You will work both in the leisure center and in the school, where you, together with your colleagues, conduct pedagogical, meaningful, and enjoyable teaching that stimulates students' learning – both indoors and outdoors.

The work is creative and varied and requires a solution-oriented and professional approach. You use varied teaching methods and digital tools to meet the different needs of students and actively collaborate with the school's student health team.

We are looking for someone who:

• has a teaching license with a focus on leisure education
• is confident in leading teaching in practical subjects and wants to take responsibility for their own subject area
• has good collaboration skills and thrives in a team
• plans, documents, and implements teaching in accordance with governing documents
• has good communication skills and builds positive relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is an educated and licensed teacher in leisure education, preferably with experience working in schools. You are responsible, positive, and have a genuine interest in students' development and learning.
